UrVan Passenger Divider

Vento is developing a new motorcycle that will be used as a taxi service.

I was chosen to design a component that separates the driver and the passenger. The purpose of this component is to improve safety and comfort for both riders.

My design contains a plastic film to stop the passenger’s breath from bothering the driver and create a protective barrier between both persons’ heads. The component includes a cushion on the driver’s side to provide back support. Lastly, it has handles so that passengers don’t need to hold on to the driver’s torso for stability, making it easier to balance on the back of the motorcycle and eliminating the need for physical contact between both riders. The frame is to be made out of steel to increase durability and improve the aesthetic.
